Please Note, the following information is to be used as a reference only.
Question: Why does my computer take so long to boot up?
Answer: Probably because you have too many programs running along with windows when the computer starts. To check, look at your taskbar in the area to the left of the clock. Is it loaded up with 5+ different icons? You should try to disable some of that stuff. If you are not a total fool, you can try it by clicking start, then run. Type in "msconfig" and hit the enter key.
Click the "Startup Tag" and uncheck any unneeded services.
NOTE: Doing this incorrectly is the best way to screw up your computer to the point of windows not starting. Do this at YOUR own risk!
